Little Rally’s is a neighborhood pickleball bar located in Cypress, TX, that brings together the spirit of sport and social connection.

Michael Hsu Office of Architecture led the naming and identity, drawing from the heritage of traditional racquet clubs, and the charm of contemporary hospitality. The result is a brand that feels warm, polished, and confident—a balance of casual ease and refined sensibility.

Inspired by Wimbledon, Little Rally’s sought ot recreate an experience that’s just as much about the occasion as it is the sport.

The vision—a considered blend of a casual country club feel and neighborly charm. A place where neighbors become friends and gather for the “perfect serve” of drinks, games and good times.

The name Little Rally’s plays on the term “rally”—the back-and-forth exchange during a point—and the familiar notion of pickleball as a mini, or “little,” version of tennis.

The wordmark and seal are set in English Grotesque by Device Fonts︎︎︎ for its subtle, charming quirks and its nod to the heritage of British sans-serifs like Gill Sans and Johnston Railway. 

Orpheus Pro by Canada Type︎︎︎ was selected to be used for expressive headlines for its refined presence.

A modern take on a classic, Baskervville by ANRT︎︎︎ was chosen to complement Orpheus Pro for it’s timeless qualities and legibility. Reserved  primarily for body text and long-form content.

An inviting color palette that draws from each part of the experience.

Playful illustrations were created to bring an additional layer of charm to the identity.
